The season is changing on the Silver River, fall is giving us some beautiful weather.\u00a0 Day temps are in the 80’s, with the overnights in the 50’s.<\/p>\n
On a recent trip down the Silver River, the gators\u00a0seemed to be\u00a0scarce.\u00a0Well, they were just hanging out, down on the bottom, trying to stay warm.\u00a0 An interesting site\u00a0to see,\u00a0them resting just under you as you boat over them.\u00a0 Oh…by the way….GO GATORS! The monkeys didn’t seem to\u00a0care about the change in temps, we spotted several different troops jumping from tree to tree.\u00a0 A Bald Eagle flying over us was an added bonus for the day.<\/p>\n
Remember to time your trips to leave a little earlier.\u00a0 The shortening daylight can catch you by suprise.<\/p>\n
Take the time to visit the Silver River State Park while you are in\u00a0the Ocala\/Marion County area.\u00a0 Please check with them for fees and\u00a0operating hours, in paticular for\u00a0the Museum.\u00a0 A great place\u00a0to share with your children, with a walking trail down to the River.\u00a0My mother and I had a deer run past us as we walked the path to the Silver River on our last\u00a0visit there. \u00a0So many\u00a0have told\u00a0us that they had no knowledge \u00a0about it, that we want to share this special place with our readers.\u00a0 Just another of the many opportunities in Marion County to enjoy nature.<\/p>\n
