April was an active month on the Silver and Ocklawaha Rivers.\u00a0 The wildlife is keeping us fascinated while we\u00a0watch the mature birds, gators, and other residents feed their young.<\/p>\n
April also brought several new guests to the Rivers.\u00a0 Manatees were spotted on\u00a0a couple of different\u00a0occasions, and on one trip we sited a new bird, a Yellow Crowned Night Heron.\u00a0 It’s questionable if either will be seen again.\u00a0 Keep us posted if anyone sites the Night Heron or the Manatees.<\/p>\n
While the Bass are biting early in the\u00a0 morning, this is a great time of year to go fishing and go on a river tour,\u00a0something to keep in mind as you make your plans to beat the heat!<\/p>\n
May will bring even more boaters out on both the Silver and Ocklawaha\u00a0Rivers.\u00a0 Early morning departures always give you the best opportunity to have the Rivers practically to yourself.\u00a0<\/p>\n
